DATTLE / Field collection
Sample Collection
Keep a sample’s identifier, collection context, and recorded custody status together. One entry per sample gives the team a common reference for its field notes.
Make it your own
On the web, sign in and choose New Dattle → Template. Web Dattles use Shared access; you can start with just yourself and invite people later. For a Private Dattle stored on your device, use the mobile app.
Start from the template
In New Dattle, choose Template and search for Sample Collection, or browse Field collection. Open its preview, choose Use template, and review the name and fields before saving. The suggested name is Field Sample Collection.
Capture your first entry
Scan or enter the sample code and collection date, select the station and sample type, and add relevant instrument readings. Record the current custody status and label photo.
Review and keep it useful
Search the sample code to review its record. Keep transfer details in Notes and use your established custody documentation when a formal transfer record is required.
