Environmental Check

Keep a field observation connected to its location and measurement context. One entry per check captures the observation type, condition, readings, photo, and notes.

Make it your own

On the web, sign in and choose New Dattle → Template. Web Dattles use Shared access; you can start with just yourself and invite people later. For a Private Dattle stored on your device, use the mobile app.

  1. Start from the template

In New Dattle, choose Template and search for Environmental Check, or browse Field collection. Open its preview, choose Use template, and review the name and fields before saving. The suggested name is Environmental Field Observations.

  2. Capture your first entry

Select the site or coordinates and observation type, then record the condition you observed. Add available instrument readings with units and describe the measurement context.

  3. Review and keep it useful

Compare repeated checks at the same site and under comparable methods. Read field notes with the measurements before interpreting a change.
