Delete your Dattle account

Request deletion by email

1. Email support@dattle.com, preferably from the email address you use to sign in to Dattle.
2. Use the subject “Dattle account deletion request” and include the email address associated with your Dattle account.
3. Support will send a confirmation email to your account’s registered sign-in address. Reply to that email to confirm the deletion request before support processes it. If you cannot access that address, contact support for help; deletion will not proceed until ownership is verified.

Do not send passwords, sign-in codes, payment details, or copies of your Dattle content.

We complete account-deletion requests within 7 days after verifying account ownership and confirm when the request is complete.

This opens your email app; it does not send a request automatically. If no email app is configured, send the request to support@dattle.com using your usual email service.

What happens to your data

• Account: account deletion removes your Dattle sign-in account and profile and your access to shared Dattles.
• Your contributions: account deletion includes your entries, comments and uploaded media in shared Dattles, including collections you previously left. You do not need to delete those contributions separately first.
• Other members’ content: shared Dattles may continue for other members. Transfer or pause shared Dattles you own when prompted. Other members’ entries and comments are preserved; a removed entry may leave an empty placeholder for their replies.
• Private data on your devices: support cannot remotely erase on-device private Dattles. Use Settings → Data & account deletion → Delete private Dattles on each device. In-app account deletion also clears private data on the device where you perform it.

If you already deleted your account and need help with remaining data, contact support. This is a fallback, not a required extra step for deleting your contributions. Support verifies ownership before handling these requests.

After account deletion completes, we retain a minimal technical record containing the deleted account identifier, completion status and dates for 30 days to prevent delayed service events from restoring the account. It is then removed by our daily cleanup. Unfinished deletion requests remain recorded until resolved; unexpected remaining account records require review before the technical record is removed.

Deleting your Dattle account does not delete your Google account.

Delete from the app instead

If you still have access to Dattle, open Settings → Data & account deletion → Permanently delete account. Follow the prompts, including decisions about shared Dattles you own.

Deletion is permanent. Save any information you need before proceeding.

Subscriptions

Manage or cancel any Dattle subscription through the App Store or Google Play where you purchased it. Do not assume an account-deletion request cancels a store subscription. You can still contact support to request account deletion or ask for help.
