Safety Observation

Document an observed practice or concern with its location, description, and immediate action. One entry per observation helps reviewers understand what was seen and what happened next.

Make it your own

On the web, sign in and choose New Dattle → Template. Web Dattles use Shared access; you can start with just yourself and invite people later. For a Private Dattle stored on your device, use the mobile app.

  1. Start from the template

In New Dattle, choose Template and search for Safety Observation, or browse Field collection. Open its preview, choose Use template, and review the name and fields before saving. The suggested name is Safety Observations.

  2. Capture your first entry

Identify the site and location, then classify the observation using your team’s definitions. Describe the facts, record any immediate action, and choose the follow-up state.

  3. Review and keep it useful

Review the description together with the action and follow-up. Update the record through your normal safety process when more information becomes available.
