Bird Watching

Keep a record of a bird sighting with a photo, location, count, and habitat. One entry per sighting keeps a group of birds separate from a later encounter.

Make it your own

On the web, sign in and choose New Dattle → Template. Web Dattles use Shared access; you can start with just yourself and invite people later. For a Private Dattle stored on your device, use the mobile app.

  1. Start from the template

In New Dattle, choose Template and search for Bird Watching, or browse Field collection. Open its preview, choose Use template, and review the name and fields before saving. The suggested name is Bird Watching Log.

  2. Capture your first entry

Add a clear photo if available, select the sighting location, and record the count. Use Observation Heading for the direction you were looking and Notes for behavior.

  3. Review and keep it useful

Compare photos in Card view and search habitat or observation notes. Verify suggested species names against the image and your field observations.
