Alignment Survey

Keep a heading or slope observation tied to a specific feature and reference. One entry per measured feature records the orientation and the context needed to repeat the check.

Make it your own

On the web, sign in and choose New Dattle → Template. Web Dattles use Shared access; you can start with just yourself and invite people later. For a Private Dattle stored on your device, use the mobile app.

  1. Start from the template

In New Dattle, choose Template and search for Alignment Survey, or browse Field collection. Open its preview, choose Use template, and review the name and fields before saving. The suggested name is Field Alignment & Slope Survey.

  2. Capture your first entry

Select the location and name the feature. Choose the reference, record heading and level or slope, then add an observation result, photo, and method notes.

  3. Review and keep it useful

Compare entries made with the same reference and phone placement. Arrange a suitable instrument check when the result needs verification.
